Ricardo Diaz is a Los Angeles based cinematographer who has shot award winning feature films, documentaries, and commercials all over the world.  He holds a B.S. in Film from the University of Texas and an M.F.A. in Cinematography from The American Film Institute Conservatory.  Narrative feature credits include “First Girl I Loved” (NEXT Audience Award SUNDANCE Film Festival), “Brian Banks” (Los Angeles Film Festival Best Ficition Film Audience Award), and “The Violent Heart” (Tribeca Film Festival).

He recently finished principal photography on Legendary Picture’s sequel to the horror classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” This spring, Rick shot major scenes for “Stranger Things” season 4. His commercial clients include Ritz Crackers, Hollister, Neutrogena, Quaker Oats, The Boys & Girls Club, Visit Las Vegas, and Proactiv for which he shot their 2017 Super Bowl spot starring Olivia Munn.
